THE VISION

At the heart of the city’s science park lies an extraordinary open-air amphitheater that blurs the line between architecture and landscape. Its most striking feature is the stage canopy — an ondulating metal dome whose flowing, irregular form evokes both the tension of a wind-caught sail and the calm solidity of a dome. Crafted from interlocking panels of brushed aluminum and weathered steel, the surface shimmers subtly under daylight, reflecting the sky’s hues like a living organism. By night, concealed LED strips along its folds accentuate its sculptural depth, transforming the structure into a luminous landmark visible from across the park.

The seating area is seamlessly woven into the natural topography, using the surrounding hills as terraced platforms that rise and fall in organic, irregular patterns. Instead of traditional rows of seats, the design incorporates broad grassy steps and clusters of native shrubs, inviting visitors to sit, recline, or picnic while enjoying performances. Scattered among the terraces are a series of sculptural lighting structures — tall, elegant compositions of cast concrete and brushed metal that twist and lean like abstract trees. These serve both a functional and aesthetic role, casting pools of light that dance across the landscape and reinforcing the amphitheater’s central concept: the harmony between natural form, advanced technology, and human creativity.
